EX ANGELITES ASSOCIATION

St. Angela Sophia Sr. Sec. School, Jaipur is a Christian Minority Institution, a bearer of Good News to people of all faiths, especially women and girl children. It is administered by the religious Institute – The Mission Sisters of Ajmer.

The school was established in 1926. Over a period of time, it has carved out a niche for itself by rendering yeomen service in the field of education and thereby to the society and the world. Each year a large number of students pass out of the Portals of this prestigious Institution. In whatever sphere of work they are engaged in, the ex-Angelite contribution to build a better world is remarkable.

St. Angela Sophia is credited with aninclusive education on modern lines so as to enable its students to grow up into knowledgeable, refined and responsible citizens – persons for others. It lays emphasis on character formation by inculcating sound moral principles besides curricular and co – curricular activities. The school environment is enhanced by the presence of a well-qualified and experienced teaching faculty, under the committed and far-sighted leadership of the Sisters – The Mission Sisters of Ajmer.

An important mile – stone in the history of the school was the foundation of the Ex – Angelites’ Association which was inaugurated by Sr. Mabel Joseph M.S.A. on Sept. 21, 1997.

The purpose of the Ex – Angelites Association is to build a strong and lasting bond between the Ex – Angelites themselves and between them and school and to explore ways and means by which they can be mutually helpful to each other. Drawing strength and inspiration from this mutual bonding they keep alive the ideals which St. Angela Sophia stands for and to do any act of social good, charity and public service, especially to enhance the cause of women and girl children.
